Accommodation

The site has a basic kitchen and laundry facilities. The toilets and shower room are on a separate floor. There is an element of camping with this residency.

As the accommodation and studio are in the same space there are studio rules to ensure everyone is comfortable: no smoking, no dust producing or turps, music only in headphones, no noise from 10pm - 8am, and discussions in designated group spaces.

The kitchen has a shared fridge and two hotplates, there is more storage space in the studio area. It also contains the washer and dryer.

The shower room and toilets are located on the ground floor of the building and accessed via a public staircase. The shower room is only for residents but cannot be used between 9am-4pm. The toilets are shared public facilities.

Sleeping Pods

Constructed by Nina and Rowan Pickup (architectural designer and Trélex alumni) there are 4 artist pods within the studio, with a further bedroom/studio with two bunkbeds. Five artists can thus sleep on site; the sixth artist is local. The pods have power plugs, black out curtains and feel like a cocoon. They are also on wheels so that they can be moved around the studio to alter the set up of the space. They each have two very large drawers for your things. Your suitcase can be stored on top of the pods. The back of the pods can be used as a studio wall to work on. Bedding and towels are provided.

The separate studio with bunkbeds is on the floor above the studio.
