Studio and Facilities

Trélex Esp'Asse will host 6 artists at a time, offering each artist space to stay and work in a lively, dynamic studio setting. The building, located in an old industrial space, is surrounded by artists and charities and on site is a cafeteria with good cheap meals every lunch time served at midday.

There is 200m2 squared worth of space for 6 artists. There are 4 sleeping pods that take up about 20m2 so each artist will have 30m2 to work in. There are also studio walls on wheels to partition the space. These provide privacy and quiet individual workspaces for artists that prefer this way of working. There are large desks to work on.

There is no printer on site but there's a good printshop in the local mall.

The site has free WiFi.

There are studio rules: no smoking, no dust producing or turps, music only in headphones, no noise from 10pm - 8am, and discussions in designated group spaces. These rules are in place to guarantee maximum freedom for everyone.

Please note:

Very occasionally the space will be used for an event and we will have to move studio walls to accommodate a drinks reception. These events will be made into opportunities for exchange and discussion.

From 14 - 24 August 2019 there is a special performing arts event: FAR Nyon.
